This is a view of Pagosa Peak from a vantage point I obtained by snowshoeing with the San Juan Outdoor Club on Saturday. We drove about 6 miles up to the 40 acre tree farm of some of the members, Ron & Windsor, and played in the snow. Some cross country skied and others, including myself, snowshoed. Everybody brought food and drink. We had a wonderful chimenea type fire with hot cider and a little Jim Beam if we were so inclined. I learned something new. . .
Don't walk backwards in snowshoes, at least, in these type of snowshoes! I learned something else. . .
It ain't that easy to get up once you've gone down in those things!
Ah, this is more like it. This is what I looked like all the rest of the time. Really! Completely in control. And speaking of "in control". . .
Check out this snowshoeing chica in control! There's no stopping her now, folks!

Well, you got that photo of your mom in snowshoes. Good on ya. I'm so envious of all the wonderful physical activity you're able to enjoy amidst such majesty. What a blessing. Love on Bonnie for me.
